I Can't express enough my gratitude for the hard work and dedication of our volunteer's in the music ministry here. Last week's service was more proof of their dedication to quality service in God's Kingdom. I really felt like we were all pulling in the same direction and that the congregation was experiencing God's presence as He worked through us. Thanks Guys.
I can hardly believe that this year is already half over! The next serveral weeks I will be busy getting ready for the Children's School of Music, the choir's fall shedule, the praise team's fall schedule, the web site upgrades, whew, and the list goes on. This week will end with preparation for VBS. We will have the stage in the sanctuary all Islandy and Stuff. I also found myself a cool hawaiian shirt with motorcycles on it to wear for VBS. There is another whole slew of workers that give it their all, VBS workers, Thanks Guys!
As we proceed toward the 2nd half of this year, I hope that your prayers are focused on allowing God to transform us and those around us into workers and dooers of the faith, not just spectators in the crowd.
Let me know what you think of our services and our team,
God Bless

Summer Blogging
This July we are going to be losing a great asset here at FBC Bartow. Our pianist, Lucy C., will be leaving to attend Southeastern Seminary in the Carolinas. We wish her well, and we will definitly feel the loss in the music ministry here at FBC, but the Kingdom of God is getting a warrior committed to sharpining her sword, look out Satan.
This summer has brought changes to the music department here at FBC, the Choir will be returning from their summer break in three weeks, and for the final weeks in July we will be holding "Vocal Basic Training" classes for choir and praise team members who wish to attend. Our worship intsrumentalists are doing a fantastic job as well as our technicians. They have learned and are completely proficient at the new Allen & Heath equipment.
Generally when they do their ministries correctly, no one knows they are there, the past several weeks they have been nearly invisible. It is a blessing to have talented and passionate instrumentalists, vocalists, and technicians serving the kingdom here.
As we continue through the end of summer months, I am looking forward to a great fall season, gearing up for Christmas, School of Music, and spending time with the choir.
